With much of the county designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and very few major roads, Dorset boasts much unspoilt countryside and rural character. From its wonderful sandy beaches, cliffs and chalk hills to the wild heathlands, there are tons of great nanny picnic destinations to be enjoyed by all ages. Alternatively you and your charges can hunt for fossils at the picturesque coastal town of Lyme Regis or visit the children’s farm at Abbotsbury and the Sea Life Park at Weymouth. The main towns for nanny jobs include Dorchester, Poole, Weymouth, Sherborne, Wimborne Minster and Shaftesbury. There are excellent sailing facilities in the area with the 2012 Olympics sailing contests being held in the waters around Weymouth and Portland. Llama trekking is one of the more unusual activities to be sampled in Dorset.
