Gwendolen House Childcare was set up by a professional, working mother and was a natural step following the success of Gwendolen House Nursery School which was established in 2004.

With experience gained in providing childcare to families, both in a domestic environment and through a nursery setting, we are aware of the needs and concerns of parents wishing to ensure that they secure the best childcare arrangements for their children. We specialise in placing both live in and daily nannies full and part time, au pairs, after school nannies, mothers’ helps, maternity nurses and doulas. We personally interview one-on-one every applicant, thoroughly assessing their ability and suitability to work with children. We carry out extensive and comprehensive verbal reference checks. We greatly value our high standards and aim to provide you with a short list of only three suitable applicants.

If you are a nanny we will only suggest a childcare position to you that we ourselves would be happy with taking. We will discuss your strengths and help you focus on the right direction towards a successful family match. We recommend that all our applicants have up to date CRB checks and paediatric first aid courses. We can help you get these.

Since we set up two years ago, our business has been growing mainly though personal recommendations. We enjoy the benefits of long term relationships with many parents and nannies who know they can rely on us.
