We are a new recruitment agency with a unique approach to the supply of experienced nannies, maternity nurses, mother's helps and childcare staff for nurseries and schools. For Director, Samantha Kelly, it is an ambitious and exciting venture, "From the start we aim to live up to our name. We work on the basis that children, and those caring for children, matter. Having a positive influence on children's lives is important; it helps shape their future."

Samantha has over twenty years experience in recruiting childcare professionals both in the UK and internationally, as well as personal experience working as a nanny and teacher. More recently, she has placed professionals to director level including charities, social services and the private sector. Applying the best practises of the recruitment industry, and particularly the processes of recruiting to sensitive positions, will be a key part of Kids Matter's approach. We will look at each nanny's skills and experience as well as their interests, education and circumstances. Combine this with careful vetting and checks and we will ensure nannies and the families they work for are well matched. Nannies must feel respected, trusted and appreciated, and the parents must know they have the right person taking care of their children.

With offices at Staunton Harold Hall on the Leicestershire/Derbyshire borders and Covent Garden, Samantha and her team aim to grow Kids Matter into a nationwide brand. Kids Matter is an active member of the REC and we adopt the approved practices of their childcare sector. We have also joined NCMA. We don't intend to take any shortcuts to help us succeed. There are a number of organisations doing good work to establish standards for the childcare industry and we plan to support them by meeting and trying to exceed these standards. Then we can really show that kids, and those who care for kids, matter.
