Chalfont Nannies was started in 1997 by Sara Brower NNEB who had an extensive knowledge of the childcare industry. Having worked as a nanny, in a children’s hospital and run her own nursery in Gibraltar, she built Chalfont Nannies into one of the top nanny agencies in the area.

In 2004 the agency was taken over by Carrie Philp who has over 15 years experience working with children. Carrie is NNEB qualified. She has worked in hospitals, nurseries and as a nanny for more than nine years. She was also the co-founder of Sticky Fingers, an art and craft group for toddlers. Carrie has attended courses on child behaviour, sign language, music and movement. Perhaps most importantly, she is a mother of two young children herself.

In 2007 Chalfont Nannies opened a second branch in Watford covering the Hertfordshire, Middlesex and North West London areas.
